I purchased this laptop shortly after Windows 7 came out. I found a deal on it for $450 or so at Office Depot. I am not an avid Office Depot shopper (and actually used to work there), but I decided to check this out. I got the laptop, had everything setup relatively quickly, and realized that it came with Windows 7 32-bit installed (my lack of homework, but didn't turn out to be a problem). This is the one of only reasons (see next paragraph for other) I give this laptop a 4 star rating. Someone who is even moderately tech savvy can install Windows 7 64-bit with the exact same key, which is on the bottom of the laptop completely free and 100 percent Legal (Windows 7 keys allow for EITHER 32-bit or 64-bit installation). Some of the software for the computer that is on the disc is a bit more challenging to find the 64-bit drivers for, you will have to look for the 64-bit folder. This is worth the extra effort in my opinion. Google it and you will find plenty of forums if you need any help (especially on [...]).
Pros: This laptop for [...] bucks with 4GB RAM, 320 GB Hard Drive, 16 inch wide screen, HDMI output, and 64-bit Processor and 64-bit Windows 7 (with a bit of work as said above), is clearly a steal! A brand that is lesser known in the mainstream market, because of less advertising, means you don't pay for the Dell, Apple, or Sony advertising. This is a well known brand in the motherboard industry.
Cons: The one problem I have noticed is that occasionally when it tries to hibernate it will not be able to come out of it. I just restart and everything is fine. I have avoided most of this problem by forcing my hard drive to stay on in the power settings. I know it has crashed when the power button LED does not flash anymore (which it normally does when its sleeping). This may be a Windows 7 thing, might be specific to Windows 7 64-bit, or may be the laptop. I am not 100 percent sure where this problem is coming from.
In repsonse to the reviewer talking about tech support and such. Obviously MSI support can only do so much when you haven't done all your research. In your review it even sounded like they answered all your questions and waived some of the cost for you. There were things you did not understand from the get go that you should have. This is not a case of poor MSI support, rather lack of customer due diligence. I am tired of customers rating the product poorly because they haven't done their homework. It sounded like this reviewer looked at a few laptops, chatted with a sales person at Office Depot for an hour, and thought he knew everything he needed to purchase a laptop. The Office Depot guy's job is to sell you a freaking laptop, NOT to do all your homework and make the best decision for you. He is going to have basic knowledge of the products for sale, not enough for you to make a great decision.

eMachines ET1831-05 Desktop (Black) Review

eMachines ET1831-05 Desktop (Black)
Average Reviews:

Well, I just purchased this eMachines ET1831-05, but I have been incredibly impressed. The shipping was super fast (and, no sales tax here in PA!), and setup was a breeze. The computer is fast, quick, and easy to use. Granted, I have had the computer up for less than a day, but it seems to work perfectly so far. Honestly, I don't know why you would need more computer than what this eMachines offers - maybe if you are in to some really intense video games or complicated video editing, you need something greater than this, but don't think because you want to upload a few pictures or videos sometimes that you need to spend hundreds of dollars on a computer. This computer is replacing a Dell that we have had for a good 4 or 5 years, and it is so incredible how much faster, smoother, and quieter this new computer is. Really - just love it so far.
Also, the keyboard and mouse are both very nice. I had wondered whether or not the keyboard had the tabs to make it stand up or whether it was just flat - it does have the tabs to make it stand up if you prefer. Also, the mouse is optical, so no complaints there. Of course, if you didn't already realize it, remember there is no monitor, speakers, or system discs with this computer (I really wish computer manufacturers could just give you the system discs when you buy a computer, but I realize eMachines is not alone in doing this). Again, absolutely no complaints - a great computer for the money.

HP Mini 110-3030NR 10.1-Inch Netbook (Black) Review

HP Mini 110-3030NR 10.1-Inch Netbook (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this netbook to lug around Europe on an upcoming trip. Why carry around my beastly 8 lb dinosaur (that's on its last legs anyway) when I can carry something much lighter? This is my first netbook, so my experience with other netbooks is somewhat limited. That said, I'm not a complete stranger to them either, so take that for what it's worth.
First thoughts: wow, this HP setup stuff is annoying. I could be up and running manually in probably half the time. I guess it's useful for n00bs. At least it's one and done.
Second thoughts: Wow, there's a lot of crapware on this thing. That includes anything with "HP" in its name and plenty of other stuff as well.
Third thoughts were much more positive. After removing all the above crapware and getting this puppy configured to my liking, I was enjoying a really slick machine.
So netbooks are for browsing the web and watching some Youtube videos and such, right? Well, it does just fine at those tasks. I REALLY like the keyboard. That's really the one feature that nailed it for me. I've typed on other netbooks, and found them to be universally abhorrent. Not so with this little guy! Aside from hitting = instead of backspace, I can type almost full speed. It seems to be lacking PageUp and PageDown, and they're sorely missed. I tend to prefer to scroll with buttons rather than the touchpad, but if you're unlike me, you probably won't care.
I also appreciate that they put the useful functions (play, pause, volume, etc) as the primary function of the Function keys. I don't often need F1-F12, and I'm guessing you don't either. They're still available by holding the Function key (you know, the blueish one).
Windows 7 Starter is something of a cruel joke, but it's standard for this market segment, so not especially noteworthy.
The QuickWeb or whatever it's called is VERY fast. Within 5 seconds of a cold boot, you've got a usable machine. I don't use the mode much, because I don't do much IM or Skype these days. I prefer having access to a more full-featured (i.e. AdBlock) browser as well. I'm sure the function has its uses however. For one, it makes for great bragging rights. I impressed a few friends with it...and then booted into Windows when it came time to actually USE the thing.
WiFi reception is strong. I discovered a bunch of new WiFi networks near my house. 'Nuff said. I've connected to a few different networks in various locations with no problems. I was unable to connect to my cousin's network, however. She probably gave me the wrong password.
With the included 6 cell unit, battery life has been superb, after admittedly somewhat limited use. I got at least 9 hours out of my first charge. I generally have the brightness turned all the way down, and I turn off WiFi when not in use. The power settings are more or less at their defaults. Can't find any room to complain here. People that view a lot of video will probably experience faster drain. I don't spend a lot of time on that stuff (at least not on a 10.1" screen...not when I have a 22" monitor available for consuming video).
The display is nice enough. I'm not very demanding for this sort of thing when it comes to netbooks. Resolution is low, so I definitely recommend tweaking your web browser to reclaim some wasted vertical screen real estate. I managed to find some Firefox plugins that let me merge some toolbars and shrink them vertically. Then I found one to hide the names of my links on my Bookmarks toolbar. Very slick, and I probably regained a good half inch of vertical space. However many pixels that is. I've not had any problems with glare, but then again, my usage has been indoors or in the car (not while driving!)
Sound. Again, I have low standards here. It's loud enough to hear easily. My friend has a full-size laptop (a Toshiba) that is very nice, but really crappy when it comes to volume. You can crank it up to barely a whisper. Thankfully, that's not a problem with this HP. I already mentioned this, but the dedicated volume buttons are worth revisiting.
The fit and finish is quite excellent. The bottom of the unit is smooth and unblemished. No vents or anything to block or require cleaning. The unit is kind of annoying to open due to the lack of something good to grip. Regardless of that minor fault, it's a good looking unit that's just waiting for your fingerprints. A matte finish would be a nice option, but what is this, the early 2000's?
So, what's missing? HDMI, for one. Multitouch. Hard drive is smallish. If you can wait for configuration, you can order one of these from HP with a 250 GB hard drive for a reasonable upcharge. I didn't have enough time to wait, so I went stock.
At the end of the day, this product is highly recommended. I'd honestly put the review closer to 4.5 stars, but that's just not an option. I don't want to round up to 5, cause then it would seem like the usual review hyperbole.
Here're the quick facts for those that don't like prose:
Pros:
keyboard size/layout/feel(!)(seriously, it's great)
useful function keys
price
battery life (flush-fitting 6 cell battery FTW!)
overall fit and finish
QuickWeb is neat and possibly useful
Cons:
no HDMI (minor gripe...it's definitely an entry-level unit)
no multitouch (see above)
kind of annoying to open (nothing to grip)
loads of crapware
smallish 160 GB hard drive

This PC is a great value for the price it's selling at these days.
It's fairly high powered within its price-range, and unlike a lot of low-end laptops, this one has a great feeling keyboard. Even better yet is the fact that the keyboard comes with a (numeric) keypad. You usually don't see that on laptops this size and for some of the applications I use (particularly remote hosting to server systems and financial programs), it's great. One draw-back however is that it means that the main keyboard (non-numeric) is a bit smaller than normal and I do notice this although I think you can easily get used to this.
It also has a dedicated $ (and euro) key, although I'm so used to shift-4 I don't see myself as using it for anything other than one-hand typing.
I'm not crazy about the placement of certain keys (PgUp, PgDn, Home, End, arrows).
One thing I found VERY VERY annoying is that there are no USB-ports on the right-hand side of the unit. This means that your wired mouse has to be plugged into the left-hand side and most of the length of the wire is wasted running to the other side which gives you less options. (This is all assuming you use your mouse with your right hand.)

Acer Aspire AS5251-1805 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black) Review

Acer Aspire AS5251-1805 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been using this Laptop PC for more than a couple of weeks now and I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 ratings. Here are my findings and opinion about it-
Its a good starter / entry level Laptop that was sent well packed by Amazon. One can rightly term this LPC as "BIG BROTHER OF LITTLE NET-BOOK".
BUILD - It showcases a well-build body made up of tough Plastic with a contoured dotted touch which makes it non-glossy and fingerprint resistant. Extended numeric key-pad is an added advantage, though I feel that the keybaord would accumulate dirt very fast and would mis-operate. Missing are the LED indicators for Number / Caps lock key which a "kind-of-a" is compensated by an OSD (On Screen Display) indicators which informs the user about the current state of these Keys the moment these keys are pressed but still, LED indicators would surely be the first preference for many.
PROCESSOR - AMD V 120 single core with 2.2 Ghz clockspeed and 512 KB L2 cache is not a "Fast Enough" Processor compared to today's technology and customer demands, but, it well complements a Laptop thats priced below $400 (NOT $479.99). There heven't been any heating issues so far with the processor after prolonged usages ranging up to 5:00 Hrs of operation with Internet, Media player, PDF and MS Paint, Skype/Yahoo chat running in parallel.
LCD - This came to me as the most surprising feature, This laptop features a wide 15.6" LED-backlit LCD that is really very crisp, clear and bright . Another thing that impressed me a lot is the steadyness/stiffness of its LCD BEZEL, unlike Dell LPC's, it really holds to its place to what ever angle you may want to set.
ADD-ONs (WEBCAM/MIC/CARD READER/HDMI) - The LPC has an average performing integrated Webcam on the LCD bezel. You may not find it impressive on the very first use but, some tweaks and change in settings (Pixel resolution, Brightness, Contrast etc) will make it a bit better. In-built MIC really scores over the webcam with its good reception and quality of voice either recorded on-board or when transmitted onto the other side (when used with Skype / Yahoo voice chat). It also has a Multi-in-1 card reader along with a HDMI port something that makes it unique in its class.
O/S ISNTALLATION - The LPC came pre-installed with Windows-7 Home Premium and it was really very easy to configure (or should I say, Finalize) the installation though it took the system about 15-20 mins to get fully functional.
WIRELESS INTERNET - The wireless internet access was satisfactory as I couldn't find any edge over my old Dell D600 LPC with Intel Pro 2915 Wireless Mini card.
OTHERS - This system comes with 3GB DDR3 RAM,out of which hardly 2 GB is available for you to run your Apps. The HDD capacity is claimed to be 250GB but available/visible Lot is only 218GB (lesser RAM and HD space are though a normal and universal phenomena). The sound quality of the inbuilt speakers is good. The system does not comes with the recovery CDs, but it does has an option to create recovery / installation CD/DVDs, which should be created at the very first use when you Log in the system.
To sum up, Acer Aspire AS5251-1805 seems to be a good, above average, entry level Laptop PC with an attractive price tag that most can avail.
Thanks for reading...
Farah.

For the price this is a great laptop! So far so good. I got it up and running out of the box in no time. The speed of the computer seems pretty good, haven't run any extremely resource heavy stuff yet-I will later, Ill update in a few months. A few pros and cons for you:
PROS:
VERY LIGHT! I'm surprised that with the size of this, it is not heavy at all.
Beautiful Screen- The colors and video look great!
Pretty good battery life-I watched a full movie on one charge, and a few hours of regular internet surfing and work.
Pretty thin-for the price, I thought Toshiba would put this hardware in a clunky package... I was wrong.
Stays cool-my last laptop got pretty hot, especially when burning CD's or other heavy stuff- this one barely gets warm!
CONS:
Keys on the keyboard- What you think you'd see on a kids laptop, plasticy and clunky. C'mon Toshiba-is it that much more expensive to put somewhat nice keys on this thing?
Speakers-terrible.... perhaps I was spoiled by my last laptop-they are almost handheld radio quality. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with this purchase. Also considering this price, it really cant be beat (If you don't mind the cons).
**********UPDATE*********** MAR 2011
I am still pleased with the laptop. No major performance issues yet.
However, I have another con that I MUST add. Quite frankly I am disappointed that Toshiba, who are not exactly novices in the laptop field, would do this. There are NO USB ports on the right side. This might not seem like a big deal, but if you want to use a mouse (not everybody likes the touch pad), you have to buy one with a long cord, or a wireless mouse. My retractable cord mini-mouse was useless with this laptop-too short.
Your USB cords get jumbled up because they are all in one place on the front left side. I would have bought another laptop at a comparable price if I knew that. Well, there ya go. Thx!

Kensington 72414 PilotMouse Bluetooth Mini Mouse (PC/Mac) Review

Kensington 72414 PilotMouse Bluetooth Mini Mouse (PC/Mac)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After I noticed my thumbs developing slight pain from using the cramped touchpad on my laptop, I looked around for a cordless mouse. I opted for the Kensington Pilot Mini for the following reasons, in order of importance:
1) Bluetooth technology (no infrared receiver to deal with)
2) Priced lower than other models such as the MSFT mouse
3) Compact size because I travel every couple of months
I'll cut to the chase and list my pros and cons.
Cons:
- First mouse arrived and within a few days, the rubber pad peeled away from the chassis. I firmly pressed it down so that the adhesive made contact again but it would only stay down for a few days. I returned the mouse for a replacement.
- About half the time, when I stop moving the mouse, the cursor drifted right to left. It's unclear whether this is due to the mouse or my Bluetooth card but the replacement does not seem to have this problem.
- The scroll wheel makes an annoying rattling sound when scrolling. Not a problem at home but this could get annoying if I'm in a meeting. Replacement mouse also has this problem.
- I bought this for $52.99 but I now see the price is $69.99. At $52.99, it was pricier than most IR mice but I thought I'd invest in the Bluetooth technology and use the mouse for a number of years. In retrospect, I find the quality shoddy for a product priced at this premium. Certainly at $69.99, the mouse is overpriced in my opinion. I recognize I'm paying the early adopter price for Bluetooth but if you can get by with an IR mouse, do that or wait until this device drops to $30 in a year.
Pros:
- Setup is incredibly easy (I'm using XP pro with the Kensington Bluetooth card).
- Not specific to this mouse, but the comfort of a cordless mouse is fantastic. I plan on keeping the replacement mouse, scroll wheel rattle and all.
- Mouse seems to work on a variety of surfaces.
- Priced lower than other Bluetooth mice. Kensington marketing did their homework; this mouse is priced lower than mose Bluetooth mice but still higher than IR mice so it captures a profit. However, at $69.99, I'm not sure this is still true.
All in all, I'm keeping the mouse but disappointed with the quality given the price. As a side note, I've shopped Amazon since they started business 10 years ago and this is the first return I've had to make. The make the process EXTREMELY painfree. They had a Returns web site that sends out a replacement immediately with no cost to me. Since the product is a defect, I do not incur shipping charges for sending the old one back.

I've had this Laptop for a week now and I love it more everyday. I was very surprised at just how fast it is. I'm the type of person that tries to do 10 things at once and I love that I can have 10 different pages open going back and forth and the Laptop zooms right alone with me. A Hugh plus in my book is the number pad, when your use to a desktop keyboard and start using a Laptop it is a wonderful feature. To be completely fair there is one flaw the built in speaker is very low, but if you use headphones it has a great sound. So, for the money this is a GREAT Laptop. I still can't believe all is has to offer for such a low price.

HP Mini 210-2070NR 10.1-Inch Netbook (Charcoal) Review

HP Mini 210-2070NR 10.1-Inch Netbook (Charcoal)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought an HP mini Netbook to use in my office and I have to say I'm extremely happy with my choice. It's quick, light weight, and just small enough I don't feel like I'm lugging around extra baggage when I'm carrying it. I have a friend who just bought a huge, and I do mean huge, laptop and she actually groans when she picks it up in the case. Further more, my battery life is excellent! I set my computer power setting on "High performance" and I still get 6 hours of juice from my battery. My friend gets around 3 hours on her laptop. Granted the my Netbook screen is small, but even with my bad eyesight (with glasses) I can see everything just fine. I've even watched streaming videos with no problems. The keyboard, which is smaller than a normal keyboard, is actually surprisingly good when typing. Actually, it was the keyboard that made my decision to get the HP Mini. The "chick-let" style keyboard is what I liked most. Each key is separate from the others and makes cleaning a snap! No accidental hitting other keys when typing. The wifi range is excellent. I was seeing connections from other businesses down the street as my co-workers were barely seeing the connection from a business in the same complex on their laptops. One thing, you will need to back up your Win 7 recovery part and it takes either a DVD, there's no DVD drive you will have to buy an external one, or back up via flash drive. It says it needs 14.99 gigs of flash drive to back up the recovery. I bought a 16 gig and windows install the drivers for it but left me with a 14.8 gig flash drive-Windows allocates just a little bit of the memory on the drive. Well needless to say, you will need to buy a 20 gig flash drive to back the netbook up-and you can't use an external usb hard drive either, I tried that.

I purchased this laptop recently for school purposes. So far it's running beautifully, and I haven't had any problems with it. Windows 7 is good, much better than Vista at launch. The only big issue I have with it is the sound: it's not that good, but I've heard that other L505 laptops have the same issue, and the problem is usually fixed with drivers. The problem here is that I think BestBuy started selling this piece early, so it's not supported yet on Toshiba's website.
I found it at BestBuy for $550 before tax, which is considerably lower than other places. Try to find it for that price if you can. If you cannot, then wait until it's supported on the Toshiba website.

Dynex DX-WLMSE Wireless Optical Mouse Review

Dynex DX-WLMSE Wireless Optical Mouse
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As far as the operational aspect of the mouse, it's great. Battery life is very good. I never turn it off and I might change out the batteries once every two or three months. It's very accurate. I don't know what some of the other reviewers are talking about saying that this mouse doesn't work completely with FireFox. That's false. I am on FireFox right now and the scroll works fine, the left side button pages back, and the right side button pages forward. Never had a problem with it not working.
I would have given this wireless, optical mouse 5 stars except after owning it for a year, the comfort pads on either side of the mouse have some sticky glue trickling out. It's coming through the seams where the pad meets the plastic and gets on my fingers. It's extremely annoying and even though I wipe it away, more comes out after a short while. Maybe the glue is just getting old and unsolidifying. Who knows?
Anyway, other than the glue thing this is definitely a solid mouse that competes with the more expensive brand-named ones.

HP Mini 210-2060NR 10.1-Inch Netbook (Rose) Review

HP Mini 210-2060NR 10.1-Inch Netbook (Rose)
Average Reviews:

This is the ultimate travel tool. Small and light, yet the screen is big enough to do email, surf the web, and office documents. Upgraded to Windows 7, installed an 8GB SD card to use for the READYBOOST feature and upgraded the 1GB RAM to 2GB. Booting is fast and navigating the web is seemless. Sometimes it hangs on shutdown, but this seems to be something inherit with Windows 7, kind of reminds me of Windows 98 in that respect. Boots up fine after a forced powerdown after the hang (no disk checking to slow it down), so it doesn't seem to adversely affect the unit. The screen does have quite a bit of glare when outdoors, but not a problem indoors. Upgrading the memory was a snap, found an online "how to" video showing how to take the back cover off. Next upgrade might be to add bluetooth, this was also explained via the "how to" video. So far the upgrades that were added with the cost of the base unit cost $430....which is still less than an IPAD. The keyboard is very comfortable but I use a wireless mouse with the unit, touchpads are not my gig.

HP Mini 110-3130NR 10.1-Inch Netbook (Black) Review

HP Mini 110-3130NR 10.1-Inch Netbook (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I picked up the HP Mini at a local electronics retailer several weeks back, and thus far I've been quite pleased with this little machine for what it is and how much it cost. In most aspects, this netbook isn't unlike the slew of other netbooks swarming the market, like sharks in a frenzy (and you're the chum). I also can't say much for the style of this model, other than for its overall simplicity. Of course, it's slim and light weight, and it performs much like any other netbook, but where it really shines is in the comfort, power and price departments.===== Comfort =====
If you're going to be spending a lot of time writing on it, this is certainly one of the most comfortable netbooks around, for exactly that purpose. If style is important to you though, I would recommend checking out a similar model from HP's Mini 210 series (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00400OSSG?tag=a52-20&ie=UTF8) which sports nearly the same specs as this model, but with a faster hard drive, and a sleek and stylish silver tone.===== Performance =====
This HP Mini doesn't exactly scream, but it certainly has some potential when it comes to performance, if equipped properly. It sports an Intel Atom N455 processor, while most competitively priced netbooks are still using the older Atom N450 processor, but what does that mean for you? Support for faster memory. The Atom N455 is the first of the Atom line of processors to be compatible with DDR3 memory chips, potentially bringing double the memory speeds to HP's line of netbooks, had HP decided to indeed use DDR3.
The primary benefit of DDR3 memory is the ability to transfer at twice the data rate of DDR2. Another fantastic benefit of DDR3 memory, especially for us netbook and notebook users, is energy efficiency. Unfortunately, however, this particular model has only been equipped with DDR2 memory out of the box, so if you want that blazing memory speed, you'll have to upgrade the machine yourself or look to another model that comes equipped with DDR3 memory out of the box.
The improved processor isn't a be-all end-all for processing performance on a netbook though. The processor is still a single-core CPU, so multi-tasking capabilities will be limited, though the processor does support hyperthreading, which means you can run a couple apps at the same time and make due just fine. However, processors are hardly the bottleneck in performance these days.
The most important aspect of performance today is typically the hard drive, and this netbook uses a 5400 RPM hard drive, which is quite slow. In fact, it's the slowest type of hard drive you can get now, though it does benefit you a little in the energy efficiency department. Another hit on performance comes from the shared video/graphics memory (up to 256 MB), effectively cutting your 1GB of RAM down to 768MB of RAM. Yet another reason to keep your multi-tasking limited as much as possible.===== Power =====
Battery life tends to run a little shorter than the advertised 9.5 hour duration. With normal usage and WiFi enabled, you can expect to get somewhere between 7-8 hours of usage. This is still pretty decent, especially for netbooks, where 5 hours is often the average battery life for so many of them. Turning off WiFi when you're not surfing the Web or aren't near a hotspot will certainly help push the battery to its maximum life span though.===== Media =====
I have run into a couple minor issues with content playback, particularly with YouTube HD videos, which can get a little choppy, especially in FireFox. Google Chrome seems to handle them a bit better though. Windows Media Player also likes to choke, so I avoid it whenever possible. QuickTime also encountered some issues, but not as much as Windows Media Player. If you're not running any other apps or utilities in the background, you'll likely have better luck than if you're trying to multitask, or even if you leave your browser running while watching a non-web video. With everything else closed, you can certainly watch a full movie just fine. If you still run into any issues, simply rebooting will likely fix them, but otherwise you should be just fine.
I will say that the 9:16 ratio widescreen 10.1" display is great for watching widescreen movies on the go, with one very important exception: you must either have a digital copy of your movie, or you'll need an external DVD drive. I recommend this Samsung model (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002C1BBU8?tag=a52-20&ie=UTF8), which sports a sexy look, on par with the HP Mini's own appeal, without sacrificing functionality.===== Value =====
For what you get with this netbook though, I must admit the price is pretty much spot on for value. Having browsed all the black friday ads that have leaked out thus far, including all the electronics retailers, I can confidently say that you won't find such a decent netbook for the price this holiday season. You can take that to the bank.===== Praise =====
* Keyboard design - nearly full-size makes typing incredibly comfortable and easy.
* Wireless N support for faster and farther-reaching WiFi reception.
* Battery life - 9 hours is top of the line for netbooks.
* 9:16 ratio display - great for movies (see above for DVD solution).
* Windows 7 - optimized for netbook performance.===== Dissapointments =====
* 1024 x 600 display resolution - would prefer at least 1280 x 768 at a minimum.
* DDR2 memory used when DDR3 memory is compatible.
* 5400 RPM hard drive - would have liked a faster Solid State Disk (even if smaller), or at least a 7200 RPM disk.===== Bottom Line =====
While not the most stylish netbook around, if you need it primarily for writing or note taking purposes, the HP Mini should certainly fit the bill. If you desire something with a little more juice, especially for media playback, you might want to look for something with DDR3 memory, or get this model and upgrade it with a 2GB DDR3 memory chip.
I hope you've found this review to be helpful in some way! :)

I was so thrilled to be able to find this keyboard! It was really hard to find because it was sold with my computer many years ago. Mine was damaged and I needed it right away, so I was so happy to find the seller and he/she shipped it immediately! I may order another one if it is in stock for an emergency! The price was beyond great, the shipping was faster than I had expected, and the product is not only brand new, but works perfectly. I am typing on it now. It was exactly like the one I replaced, and arrived in a brand new box. I am very satisfied with this product, and can't believe I was able to find it!

Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 - Slate Review

Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 - Slate
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)

I've had this mouse for a couple of weeks and am very satisfied with it. There was no software installation. I simply plugged the wireless receiver into an available USB port, put a "AA" size battery in the mouse, and turned on the computer. The mouse started working just as Windows XP finished loading.
It may be a little small for really large hands, but it fits my hand (medium-size male) perfectly with my palm resting on a mouse pad for comfort. In fact, it feels better than most I've had in the past (desktop or laptop). And the mouse fits into a side packet of a laptop case very nicely. As others have pointed out, the USB receiver fits into the bottom of the mouse when traveling.
The buttons are shapped well, as are the rubber side grips. The two large buttons feel solid, but the center scroll button is a little noisy and doesn't feel as well made. But, that center button works as well as the other two.
Since I've only had it a couple of weeks, I don't know how long the "AA" battery will last yet. However, I'm using my laptop mainly as a desktop, used many hours each day, and the original battery is still going strong. To insert the battery, press the silver button directly below the "Microsoft" logo and the top pops off (the release button is designed to look decorative). At that point, one will immediately see the battery holder.
The wireless feature works flawlessly. In fact, if one had really good eyes, one could operate the computer from the other side of a room. Yes, I've actually tried that, with the mouse moving the cursor around the screen with no problems.
I just read one of the other reviews where a lag was mentioned. I've seen nothing of this. In fact, after reading that review, I sat here moving the mouse slowly, quickly, tiny movements, short movements, long movements, and so on, with no noticeable lag. The cursor moves exactly as the mouse moves.
All in all, I think anyone would be satisfied with this mouse.
---
UPDATE: I wrote the above in February 2005 and have continued to use the mouse since (now Aug 2006). It is still performing well and the battery mentioned in the review above lasted through about 2.5 months of routine everyday use. I have since purchased a second mouse for my desktop computer, which is also working fine after about four months. The following is in response to issues raised by other reviewers.
To Edwin A. Pell III (New York), the mouse fits identically in either a left or right hand. To reverse the buttons, open the "Mouse" control panel and select "other pointing devices" in the drop-down menu listing your laptop's touchpad.
Again, to anyone wanting to ADJUST MOUSE SETTINGS, use the "other pointing devices" selection in the "Mouse" control panel.
To A. Mazakov (Fairfax, VA), the mouse is not sealed shut. The screws are located under the four black adhesive feet on the bottom of the mouse. Pry the feet off with a knife and stick them back on when finished with your modification.
To Denis Dolgachev (Ann Arbor, MI), you do not have to disconnect the mouse each night. The mouse enters a battery saving mode when no movement is detected for some time, allowing batteries to last upwards of two to three months (depending on usage) with a continous connection. In other words, you really only need to disconnect the mouse when you want to move or store the computer.
Those mentioning lags, delays, or choppy movement should check the "Mouse" control panel settings or for things interfering with USB devices. When setup and operating properly, there is no latency behavior whatsoever with this mouse. Movements are fine and precise. The only normal delay is in the split second when the mouse recovers from the battery saving mode after periods of inactivity.

126-KEY Inet Multimedia Access Keyboard with 22 Hot Keys Review

126-KEY Inet Multimedia Access Keyboard with 22 Hot Keys
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just bought this keyboard at a brick-and-mortar place, and frankly, it pales in comparison to even the cheapest keyboards I've ever owned. I probably should have just come here the first time around, but I was already out and grabbed the first multi-media keyboard that jumped out at me. Bad move. My fault. Won't happen again.
For starters, it feels hollow - like there's nothing really in there to justify its chunky look and feel. To me, it feels like it's sitting up way too high from the surface of my desk, and it's even worse when the "legs" are popped up from the back. The keys are very responsive, which I like, but they're loud enough to let anyone in the house know that you're typing, which is where that 'hollow' feeling really becomes evident. Furthermore, the backspace key is tiny (about the size of the regular letter keys), while the Enter key is huge. This bugs me to no end, and throws my fingers off a full key every time I go to hit something in that general vicinity of they keyboard; but some may prefer that sort of layout. Similarly, if you look a the image of it, you'll see that the home, end, page up and down, insert and delete keys are in two columns rather than two rows (like most good keyboards are), and while I do realize this is yet another matter of preference, the latter two should really be flip-flopped for the sake of convenience. I keep hitting "insert" and overriding text, rather than deleting it, simply because logic dictates that the delete key should be closest. (I never use insert for any reason - and I don't know very many people who do - while I use delete quite frequently.)
Lastly, and probably most importantly, given the nature of the keyboard, the multimedia keys don't even work. I was able to pull up my mp3 player by pressing the music key, but then it wouldn't even play when I hit the play key (and for the record, yes, I installed the software that came with it, with no problems in the process of doing so). I also tried opening My Computer using that key, and it worked. But really, if it's not going to play the music, then it has automatically failed to do what it's supposed to do.
As the last person said, if you can afford something better, I highly recommend that you skip over this one in favor of one that not only works like it's supposed to, but is also more user-friendly.
