Micro Innovations Wireless Link Keyboard (TKB680PK) Review

Years ago i got this thing for my zaurus 5600. It worked ok, the included stand didnt go so hot, but i could put the zaurus in portrait mode with some software i cant remember what, sit it flat on the table and type ok. Had phenomenal battery life. Now I don't even remember where it is, i'm just writing this review to stop amazon from reminding me.
Oh, the one thing that bugged me is that there are a LOT of missing keys, numbers and such are only typeable through button combinations, that's why it's so small. It's a real slower-downer.

This keyboard is built solid and not flimsy like many others. Keys are quiet and good tactile response. Can't beat it for quality and value.
Highly recommended.

HP Standard Vista Keyboard (PS2) The HP Standard Vista Keyboards represent a design extension of the successful Easy Access keyboards. These keyboards have the same layout and tactile characteristics as the previous keyboards, but without the hot-keys. Instead, the HP 2004 Standard Keyboards introduce expanded configurability by allowing the keyboard to sit upon the desk at either zero-degree (flat), 6-degree or 12-degree slope through the use of the keyboards tilt legs. Hence you receive a wider range of configurable slope options to maximize your comfort when using these keyboards. The HP 2004 Standard keyboards also simplify System Administration tasks as no additional reprogramming or redirector software is required to be maintained or supported with these keyboards. The keyboard software device drivers are an integral part of the client operating system. This keyboard is compatible with the most HP Compaq Business Desktops, Workstations and Servers.

ASUS Wireless Eee Keyboard and Mouse Set - Black Review

ASUS Wireless Eee Keyboard and Mouse Set - Black
Average Reviews:

I recently bought a large monitor to use in lieu of my laptop LCD screen, and needed a keyboard/mouse to complete my set up. I was looking for something that was form-factor, would look pretty on my desk, was wireless, simple, and works well. I looked at a number of different keyboards (HP elite, microsoft arc, rocketfish, adesso, logitech), and this was the only one that seemed to fit all of my qualifications. The HP, rocketfish, adesso, logitech ones had too much going on (numeric keypad, shortcut keys, etc - who needs em?), and the MS arc one had a strange cursor set up that i knew I would find irritating.
Pros:
- Small (thin, light)
- Easy set up (put in batteries, plugged in dongle, win7 did the rest!)
- Attractive (has 'chiclet' style keys and a piano black finish to the rest of the keyboard/mouse)
- Simple (no 'unnecessary' features)
Cons:
- Spacebar sometimes unresponsive (same issue I have with my Asus laptop - even as I'm writing this review I'm finding that although I'm hitting the spacebar, it doesn't always register unless I hit it pretty forcefully)
- No Bluetooth (bluetooth would be easier since no additional dongle or anything would be necessary for me)
- USB Dongle a bit large (I have another wireless mouse from MS with a dongle roughly an inch long, whereas this one is the size of your typical USB flash drive)
- No 'on/off' button (when not in use, I'm not sure whether it's eating up the battery or goes on some kind of standby. An on-off switch would make it easier to know and save battery power)
- Lack of internal 'storage area' for USB dongle (again, my MS wireless mouse has a little place on it to store the dongle when not in use, so you don't have to worry about losing it. This product would be well-served by a similar feature)
- Volume controls(you can control volume by pressing Fn+F10/11/12, however, dedicated volume control buttons would be easier)
-----
Update: I found a 'fix' for the spacebar issue on this forum: [...]. I tried it out (using 5-6 layers of tiny square cut-outs of tape instead of the epoxy glue) and the spacebar now works perfectly!!

HP Wireless Elite Keyboard Review

HP Wireless Elite Keyboard

Picked up one of these yesterday and so far I'm loving it. It's quiet, the key feel isn't bad, the key layout is good (like the enlarged Delete key), and some of the special keys (like the volume control) work even though I haven't bothered to install HP's software (yet, anyhow).
Wireless range is sufficient for my needs. The little USB fob plugged right into my existing USB hub and was recognized by my system instantly without having to load any drivers. Neat!
I love the look of the keyboard, and it's very small without a ton of useless plastic around the edges - just a narrow border about half an inch wide. I was using an older wired USB Apple keyboard with my PC before this - one with white keys and a transparent body - which I chose because it didn't waste a ton of desk space. I'm not sure why manufacturers feel they have to surround their keyboards with an idiotic ocean of useless plastic. Until now, Apple seemed to be one of the few manufacturers who realized that it's not only unnecessary, but also really ugly.
I was never entirely happy with the key feel of the Apple though, and it collected dirt (and cat hair) like nobody's business. And I wanted a wireless keyboard so I could remove it from the desk entirely when I needed the space. This keyboard isn't much larger (same width, about an inch deeper), but doesn't suffer from the same . . . hygiene issues, and the keyfeel is much better.
According to everything I've read the batteries (which it comes with a set of already installed) should last for about a year, at which time I'll probably replace them with rechargeables.
It's a little spendy, and it isn't quite as space-saving as Apple's old design, but given its looks and performance I'd recommend it.
