I am wondering how long it takes to get in the mindset of looking to see if devices are compatible with Vista BEFORE I buy them and try to install them??
Yes, I just recently got a Vista computer and am not used to it. Most of the programs play nice with Vista, but this one didn't... I tried installing it and ran into errors...it wasn't compatible. The installation finished anyway and I thought maybe it actually did work. I tried to connect to my bluetooth device (cell phone) and it did connect, but then it tried to install the drivers again (it must have bypassed them the first time) and it was pointless. I checked the website and, nope, no Vista drivers.
So now I have a useless $30 dongle and have to try and find one that will work with Vista.

SpongeBob Mouse by KidzMouse Review

I bought this mouse cos my 3 yr old was not too good with the touch pad. He got used to the mouse quickly. I had no trouble setting up the mouse, just turned off the computer and turned it back on with the mouse plugged in. Also no trouble with switching between mouse and touch pad as the mouse is too small for my hand. The downside is it lacks a scroll wheel.

WinFun On the Go Driver Bilingual Laptop Review

WinFun On the Go Driver Bilingual Laptop

My almost 5 year old son got this for Christmas. We liked that it's bilingual, but the positives pretty much stop there. It's design seems to be for a very young child (looks like a car, makes car sounds when opened), however it is very difficult for a child to use on their own. It is impossible for my son to even open the laptop on his own. There are 26 different activities to select and you need to be able to read from the list on the screen (and in very small print!) and know your numbers to 26 in order to "choose an activity". The screen is also VERY small. The activities are good for learning but range from very simple (telling the letters on the keyboard) to very advanced (spelling, adding and subtracting) for the age range advertised. I think this could be a great toy when a child is at a higher reading level, but until age 6-7 requires an adult to help. And by age 6-7 this toy may seem too young. Overall a flop. I'm thinking of getting the Leapfrog laptop instead.
