(More customer reviews)I, like another reviewer, got mine at Big Lots for $13. But, mine has been perfect. It works on ALL, I mean ALL surfaces. It amazes me because it works on high pile carpet, microfiber couch arm, skin, etc. I've had absolutely no problems with mine except that the logo is wearing off because of how much we use it. The USB dongle is on the large size but not bigger than a small USB jump drive.
The size of the unit is great and fits in small hands. If you have large hands you won't like this. My 3yr old daughter can use this mouse without problems.
I really like the "squishy" sides which make gripping the mouse very comfortable.
Remember most people post on the internet when they have bad experiences with things. I ran across this because I was going to order a 2nd one but it's still cheaper at Big Lots. I wasn't going to write a review until I saw how bad of reviews this was getting. It really is a great product that is priced correctly on Amazon or at Big Lots.
It's a better mouse than my wireless mouse that came with my $100 Wireless Microsoft Keyboard/Mouse combo.

I forgot to mention that the mouse does have an auto shutoff mode which is pretty good. It shuts off with about 1-2 minutes of inactivity. I find this very effective at saving the batteries. Also, this mouse really isn't heavy. The only reason it seems heavy is because of the two batteries it takes. The bottom line is it's not heavier than the 2 other wireless mice I have at work and at home.

Dell Studio 15 Laptop Review

(More customer reviews)This is the Dell Studio 15 inch laptop (Green Colored Case). I think this a great lap top and it gets the job done. I kept reading all the negative reviews and i have no idea why there's so much bad press. I have never once called customer service and i ordered my laptop at Dell directly through their website. I have no reason to contact customer service and i never experienced any problems at all with any of my Dell products. I get so baffled when i read all these negative reviews. My Dell products which i have had for years including a Dell desktop and a recently purchased new netbooks have never been a problem. The desk top i have is more than 6 years old and I never have any problems. It runs great. It can definitely benefit from an upgrade in some areas.
The Studio line is Dell's midrange laptops. The Inspiron being there low end range for consumers that just need a standard laptop. The Dell Studio laptop is completely plastic and it's a bit on the heavy side in my opinion. Maybe because i am so use to my light weight Dell 10 min netbook that i have been spoiled. This is a good lap top. However, i think the flaw in Dell is that their products can get very pricey very quickly. Especially when you are adding in high end features like 6GB RAM rather than 3GB RAM or 2.99GHZ instead of 2.33GHZ etc. You can get the same thing at HP for probably around a hundred dollars less and their quality feels a bit more refined, polished, and sturdy. That being said if you check Dell's website they do have deals going on all the time especially on holidays. But for some reason the price never seems as low as it should be. If you check periodically you will find yourself a deal. I go to that website religiously and build the exact same laptop that I have and it always comes up to more money. I got mine on a special promo.
I really regret getting the green covered case. I didn't realize how bright it would be and once i opened it out of the box - I really wish i purchased the Dark Blue or Dark Purple colored case. It's really way too bright. I like the personalization options of the different colors, but i really do regret getting this bright Caribbean green color. My laptop also includes the backlit keyboard which is great for typing in the dark. It also has touch sensitive controls towards the top of the keyboard near the speakers and i think that's a great plus. The DVD is also an optical drive, so there is no door that slides out for you to pop in your DVD. It's like a Playstation 3 slot. You slide the DVDs in & out.

Also, the cheaper model (T115D-S1120) has a single core 1.6 GHz processor, not a dual core 1.5 GHz processor. This is currently still incorrect on one part of the page.

(More customer reviews)After replacing my 8 year old Dell Laptop, I looked into this Vaio upon the recommendation of a few friends. I'm not a tech-guy by any stretch, just wanted a solid everyday home laptop with good memory for interent, Itunes, Quickbooks, Skype and some word processing (no gaming) and this laptop absolutely fit the bill! Solid construction, unique and appealing design (case texture is great, shows no fingerprints), comfortable, wide and spacious keyboard, lightning fast-start up and downloads, user-freindly, gorgeous Hi-Def screen, great for watching videos and DVD's, fast CD and DVD burner and an awesome camera for Skyping with friends and family. For the price (just a shy over $600) and complete with Windows 7, you can't beat it! Battery life is fine too. Unlike some complaints, mine gets just under 3 hours which suits my needs and also charges very fast. I've had freinds that have owned Vaio's years with little to no problems, and now glad to own one myself. If you're looking for a rock solid laptop with style and function, get this one. I'm happy I made this purchase, would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 1000 (PC & Mac) Review

(More customer reviews)This is a really good "basic" wireless keyboard and mouse set. The software installed just find and after that I plugged in the receiver and was ready to go. It was really snappy and responsive right out of the box. Sometimes people get issues because the battery is low to begin with (remember the battery has been sitting in the package since it was shipped to Amazon, Best Buy, Staples, etc.) Also the proximity of portable phones, other wireless devices, etc will sometimes mess with the signal.
I really like the keyboard. It has a soft feel and is rather quite comfortable. It's not like those old loud IMB clicky types. Depending on your preference you might find the keyboard "mushy" but I think it's just right. There's a few special function keys for e-mail, web homepage and volume controls. I can do without most of them except for the calculator quick launch button. Its great to just hit a button have the calculator popup. I think all keyboards should have this.
The mouse is good too. It's a basic optical mouse a two button one scroll wheel job. It's nothing fancy but then again I don't need a fancy mouse with 5 or 7 buttons. The scroll wheel is nice. It's a clicky one meaning you can scroll line-by-line. There are ridges on the wheel itself which I appreciate as I severely dislike the smooth wheels. The mouse is a bit heavy towards the back end. Probably because both the battery and transmitter are there but it only takes a few minutes to get used to.
There are two things that I don't like but they aren't deal breakers. The first is the rather large receiver. It's not a deal breaker but if you've got limited desktop space it's a pain for sure. The second is that the mouse and keyboard are always "on". As far as I can tell they don't auto-hibernate when not in use for a while or turn themselves off when the computer is shutdown. So in order to fully power them off you've got to take the battery out. I have owned the mouse that's included in the set separately and used it with my old computer. The battery (2 AAs) lasted for about 3 months. I'm sure if I pulled them out every time I shut the computer down it would have lasted for 6. But I'm lazy and had a bag full of AAs so what did I care?
This is a very good product for a decent price. I don't know what's up with the bad reviews they must have gotten a lemon or something because every MS mouse or keyboard I've used has been awesome. If fact the only bad keyboards and mice I've used have been non-MS ones. The Logitech mice are too large and expensive. Belkin keyboards are awful and anything made by Kensington is just atrocious. Overall, I really like this keyboard mouse set and if you can pick it up on the cheap it's a great product.
