I've had this mini-dock for more than a year and it works perfectly fine with my MacAir and my MacBook Pro. The individual docks rotate, which makes inserting and removing various extensions a breeze. I routinely use all the ports on it (camera, keyboard, stick, iPod, mouse etc) and plug things in and out more often than healthy. It does what it's supposed to do, it's lightweight, it's very nicely designed, and so far has required zero maintenance. Definitely worth the money.
You'll notice a one-star review below; I believe that rating is unwarranted. The reviewer tried plugging in the CD/DVD super drive for the MacAir. As pointed in a comment by a different reviewer: "Apple has always indicated that the Superdrive's power requirements prevent it being used with any hub, even a powered one. [...]."
It's not the hub's fault; per Apple's statement, the MacAir super drive currently does not work with any hubs, powered or not, due to its power requirements. Which is why (among other issues), I guess, I did not buy the Apple drive, and went with a Samsung model.
As far as I'm concerned, this is a fine product -- and that's exactly what I'm buying for our lab.
