(More customer reviews)i have this for work. the company bought it to replace an HP that i had. i am surprised at how reliable it is and how solid it is. i travel often for work and this has not let me down yet. i am not abusive to my gear but traveling, especially through airports, can take a toll on gear. i have XP on mine, so no problem with drivers for the current range of operating systems.
Having had 4 or 5 laptops for work in the last 10 years i'd say this is the best. the HP had a motherboard problem, before that i had a Thinkpad which was solid, but i did not like all of the special software. i can not recall the other recent brands i had for work but i think one may have been a Sony. Basically the Dell 1510 works the best, is solid, has nothing missing and no noticeable bloatware, which i am thrilled about. this has been my best laptop and i would want another one if this one needs replacing.
PS, the slot load DVD burner is a nice touch.
