(More customer reviews)I had this mouse for 1.5 years and absolutely loved it: it was perfect in my hand, the signal was constant, it was very precise and the batteries lasted forever. However, after many months the left button began to fail, becoming harder and harder to click -- something that bothered me especially when double-clicking. Probably the spring or some other moving part went bad; I read in another mouse review that these things happen, that mice only last so much. But it got so bad that I gave up on it. I then bought a Logitech MX610. Another great mouse but it feels bulkier in my hand, not as comfortable. Interestingly enough, I called Logitech here in Brazil the other day (I was looking for a wireless keyboard) and mentioned the LX7's problem. The guy told me that if I sent him the receipt, Logitech would replace it, since it has a 5-year warranty. Unfortunately, after such a long time I couldn't locate the document, but I'll probably be getting a new LX7 and keeping the receipt in a safe place!
December 2007: Despite the lack of a receipt, Logitech is replacing this mouse. They asked me to send it in so they could analyse it. I did. They came back to me saying that the mouse had a physical problem and that they would send me a new one. I was stunned! I know that even good products can just go bad, so I wasn't giving this too much importance, but Logitech's customer service blew me away.
